  • Ron De Rosa, Times staff photographer won the $500 first prize in the Brunswick Corporation's 1963 National Bowling Photo Contest. The candid photographs captured the drama of a night of bowling in March, 1962, at Ideal Recreation. De Rosa used a T-model Rolleiflex and tri-X film.
