Floor-to-ceiling scaffolding gives workers access to the entire height of the piece as it's assembled.  Only the old growth Douglas fir from below the water line could be salvaged from the sailing ship Wawona.  The platform that Grade stands on is lowered by chains as the piece is assembled.<br />
